I was away for 5 days and he sent me a few pictures and an update on how Cleo was doing everyday so that I knew she was ok. "We would highly recommend Mr Wagtails to look after your pet. He looked after our Cat Sammy whilst we went away for five nights. Each day we had twice daily updates after he had visited her together with pictures and videos where he could as she is not the most sociable cat but he was determined and I think she eventually gave in to him!
She was well looked after and quite settled when we arrived home which was a huge relief to us. Andy also opened and closed the blinds for us and turned the outside light on at night to help with security. All in all we were very happy with the service he provided to us and all at a very fair cost and worth every penny. The house was nice and tidy and the pots were washed when we got home.
He is worth his weight in ‘Gold’ (sorry Andy!) and if you need your pet looked after in your own home then he is the man for the job. Very professional and very passionate about his work. As my family are allergic I always felt bad asking them to call in on my furbabies. Finding Mr Wagtail was a godsend. I'll admit I was a bit nervous as they are both shy yet friendly (once they know you) cats. There was absolutely no need. Andy was recommended to me by another pet sitter. And I was worried about leaving my girls and house with a stranger. But as soon as I met Andy he put my mind at ease. Andy has been walking our rescue staffie, [B] for around 3 months now and I couldn’t be happier with the dog-walking service he provides. Having only just rescued [B], it didn’t phase Andy that we didn’t ‘know’ our dog when he first started his walks. Over the months we have learnt what works best for [B] and have got him in a good afternoon routine which he couldn’t be without. I receive a little ‘pupdate’ with pictures after every walk which lets me know that everything has gone to plan and if there is anything I should be aware of. Andy is professional, trustworthy, diligent and really cares about the welfare and happiness of the dogs. We were recommended Andy through some friends of ours and arranged for him to look after our cat [R] for a week.
Like most pet owners I always worry about leaving my pet and will continue to worry whilst on my holiday, yet with Andy, I was reassured that [R] was in good hands. Not only did Andy feed him but he also made sure our cat got plenty of love and attention. Andy kept us updated daily with messages and photos, which I always looked forward to!
Andy also opened our blinds and made it appear as though we were at home, which again reassured me that our home was always safe and secured. He also alerted us when our back gate had been opened, as well as collecting our mail.
Before he begins his pet sitting duties, Andy will come over to discuss your pets needs and will patiently sit there whilst you tell him all about your pets funny quirks. By the end of the session, it felt like we were old friends talking about our pets.
I really can’t recommend Andy enough and will continue to use him and recommend him to our friends. I know [R] is already missing him. I know I’ve said this to Andy a billion times already, but I really can’t thank him enough!

Mr Wagtails provided excellent care for our fur baby Teddy! We were so nervous about leaving Teddy having previously only left him with my parents. Due to us getting married we had to leave him, and Andy was fantastic. The meet and greet prior to his stay really put us at ease and he ensured that all of Teddy's requirements were documented. Andy looked after our 3 cats whilst we were on holiday. He did a fantastic job with cleaning the litter tray and floor and keeping their food and water topped up. Andy looked after my 13-year-old Staffador (dog) and my 2 cats while I was working away for three nights.
[I] can’t thank him enough, my dog suffers from a bit of separation anxiety and she seemed really well and not at all stressed when I returned.
[I] got daily updates and pictures and Andy even cleaned the litter trays for my return which wasn’t expected and did totally off his own back, this was much appreciated as I had lots to do for myself on my return so majorly lightened the load!

I have a rescue dog and he isn’t always sure about new people. Andy was amazing with H***** from the first time he met him!
Andy usually takes him for a walk when we are at work but the other week I was off work decorating and Andy came to take H***** for a walk. H***** was so excited to see Andy and did what we call zoomies up and down the hallway, then gave Andy lots of licks. It was so lovely to see how they have bonded and what a lovely relationship they have!
If I need a dog sitter at short notice Andy always tries his best to help out. I wouldn’t have anyone else to look after my dog!
